Mother's Day was so great

Last Sunday (after the big "prom" event) my daughter Cori and her family took us to the Arizona Country Club for brunch.  It was fabulous.  Even while I'm on my quest for losing weight, I was able to enjoy some terrific food.  But best of all, was getting to spend time with Cori's family.  Her mother-in-law Ida, and Ida's sister Abby were there as well.  What a beautiful day.

After leaving that celebration, we stopped by my sister, Julie's house, where she was having my mom for dinner.  Here we are:

 

Mom used to be taller than Julie - I guess maybe someday I might be a normal height if I take after Mom!  Or is Julie standing on a box??

Week 10 (or is it 11)? weigh in

I've sort of lost track of my posts on my weight loss journey.  My last post was a brag about losing 3 pounds.  The week after that I came back down to earth and actually gained 1.2 pounds.  I should know better than to boast...  But, this week I had a 2.2 pound loss, so it's all still good.  Too many weddings, holidays, birthday's, well, life events.  But, I'm not missing out on those, I just have to stay smart.

Week 7 Weigh-In

I almost forgot to post my last weigh in.  I lost 1.8 pounds!  With Easter this week, I just hope I don't lose too much progress!

Week 6 weight in

This week I lost 1.2 pounds.  At least I keep going down.  Two people actually mentioned that I looked like I was losing weight.  I can't really see it, yet.  Of course, I didn't see it when it crept up on me, either. 

Week 5 weigh-in

I lost 1.6 pounds this week.  I really should quit watching Biggest Loser because it seems so paultry, but, in real life a 1.6 pound loss is supposed to be good. Sigh.  Patience is not my best virtue, but, it really hasn't been that tough.  I'll keep on keepin' on.

Week 2 weigh-in

Today I had oral surgery, picked up my new glasses, and got my weigh-in.  The mouth really hurts (but the meds aren't too bad!), I love my new glasses, and I lost 5 pounds!  That must have really been a heavy tooth.  To be honest, I think the fact that I was sick most of the week had something to do with losing 5 pounds, and that's with very little excercising for the week.
